Where do you speak?

That’s easy – anywhere! (Even to strangers at Starbucks!) I have been involved in everything from school chapels to weekend retreats. It is my passion to see students everywhere impacted by the truths found in the Bible!

If you have an event (or even a “non-event”) coming up, a camp, or just want a fresh face to visit sometime, please contact me. I would love to discuss ways that I can minister to your students!

Mac or PC?

Are you serious?

We don’t have a big budget, and not sure if we can afford to bring in an outside speaker. How much do you charge?

Although I would love to be involved with every event I am asked to be a part of, the truth is I simply can’t. We are called to be wise stewards of both time, and resources; in order to help me achieve this you will be emailed a ministry commitment form. This form will allow you to outline your budget, your vision for the event, and the responsibilities that I will have. I have worked with many churches, and with many different budgets, and will try my very best to not let money be an obstacle for me connecting with your students.

If you would like a list of suggested honorums, please contact me, and I will be happy to send you one.

What’s your favorite candy?

Cadbury cream eggs! (The cream in the middle is amazing!)

What’s your philosophy on communication?

One of my professors at seminary, Howard Hendricks, would often say; "If your going to bore someone, don’t bore them with the Bible!" I agree. It’s my belief that if Scripture is taught in a creative, honest, and loving way, students will connect with it. I believe both middle and high school students are capable of understanding the incredible truths in Scripture – however, we must be creative, and honest, in the way truth is taught.

I don’t talk “at” students I talk “with” them. I want to model transparency in my teaching; allowing students to see me as a person who doesn’t have everything “figured out.” At the same time being interactive, fun, bold, and energetic!

What is your favorite childhood book?

Alexander and the no good, horrible, very bad day. Any book from the “Choose Your Own Adventure” series!

What’s your view/opinion on {insert your theological question here}

I have found that it is best to talk about these sorts of questions in more detail, either in person or over the phone, to avoid any misunderstandings. Please contact me; I would love to discuss any questions you have!

How awesome is your wife?

Very.

What topics do you enjoy teaching the most?

We are all tempted to find our identity in something other than Christ. {friends, popularity, successes, our stuff, and the list goes on, and on} One of my biggest passions is helping students understand that their identity and worth should be found in Christ alone. It is only when we begin to see Him as our everything that we can be set free to live the life God intended. I want to help equip students to understand, and make it their life long obsession to understand who they are in Christ.

What do you like to do for fun?

One of my “nerd secrets” is that I have an aquarium hobby! Not just a gold fish in a bowl either! {I keep both a freshwater, planted tank, and salt-water, reef tank.} I also enjoy playing video games, connecting with friends, making creative videos, and trying different brands of breakfast cereal!

How can we contact you about coming to minister to our students?
