double popped – @feeband

I had the chance to hang out with The Fee Band backstage at Catylist One Day on Monday, and I must say they are super cool guys!
If you don’t know them, you need to get to know them – now!
I had a chance to DoublePop a few of the guys in the band – so check it out! – Enjoy!

{You can connect with Fee on their site, twitter, MySpace, or iTunes.}

Catalyst One Day

I just got home from Catalyst One Day, and I am beat!  I learned some valuable leadership tools from Andy Stanley, and  got to met (for the first time in real life) tons of awesome people who I had gotten to know online!

Not only that, Andy Stanley gave me a toy gun, and toy badge (long story) – so I would say it was a win for the day!

As usual I took lots of visuals.  Here are a few for you to enjoy! (Bonus points if you can id some of the people in these photos!)

Does your church have Momentum ?

{MOMENTUM} – Forward motion fueled by a series of wins.

I’m at Catalyst One Day today, and Andy Stanley just knocked it out of the park with his first session. He talked about momentum. I like momentum. allot.

He had much to say about this topic, but one thing he talked about is how the consumer product companies really have this figured out. Look at the picture above – “new and improved toothpaste” – really? New? Improved? How? How do you “improve” toothpaste? I mean really? (He also showed some toilet paper that was “new and improved” – I mean really….)

The fact is, these companies know that when you give people something that is “new” and “improved” that creates momentum. People REALLY do like “new” things. (Next time you are at the store try to count how many products say “new” or “improved” on the box. Starting to get the picture?)

What is your church doing that is new? How is your ministry creating (and sustaining) momentum? Let’s hear it!

Interview With Brad Lomenick – Director of Catalyst

Brad Lomenick describes his role as director of Catalyst as equipping, inspiring, and releasing the next generation of young Christian leaders.  Catalyst does this through events, resources, consulting, and connecting leaders.  One thing that I really appreciate about Brad is that you will rarely find him on stage at a Catalyst event, because he is working hard behind the scene making sure everyone else is enjoying, worshipping, connecting, growing, and learning.
