double popped – @pwilson

I had the awesome chance to “double pop” Pete Wilson, Pastor of Cross Point Church. What a great guy! He is just as cool, and humble, in person as he comes across in his sermons, blog, and twitter. Check out the video to hear his thoughts on some key questions!

{as always – if you would like to be on the next “double popped,” have any feedback, or want to just say “hi” – please leave a comment in the comment section!}

    Pete's "Without Wax" is one of the neatest blogs… "authenticity" is very much a part of my home church's culture (@sandalschurch). Love seeing Kingdom folk from across the Twitterverse. Keep it up, Rick.
    Oh, and eating Cadburry chocolate eggs whole is gross.

  14. Dude Rick, you're nuts! I love the doublepoppin' that you keep doing, and Pete seems like an awesome guy, although I'm not expecting a call from him anytime soon :-) // I'm no Pastor or anything, but I'm down for a double poppin', as I'd love to connect with you in that way!

    I had a friend @dylanwarner text me at like 8am the other day asking me what #doublepoppin was, since he just joined recently. Needless to say, I started laughing out loud, and proceeded to tell him what it was :-)

  15. rickonline says:

  18. Thanks for interviewing Pete. He seriously is one of the smartest, down-to-earth people I know. Love hearing his thoughts in whatever form they're available.

    And I do look forward to Cadbury eggs all year, too but agree with my sistah Dawn. Eating them whole is just gross.

    Bonus–our kids had the bowls with the built in straws, too. [Not always fun to clean] :)

  19. rickonline says:

    Thanks so much for the feedback, I'm glad you enjoyed! Pete really is a crazy, awesome guy – I'm glad I was able to connect with him. I noticed the word “had” the bowls – did you throw them out, or did they outgrow them! (not that you could really outgrow thembecauseI would use one if I had one!) I can't wait to get you on #doublepopped !!!

  20. jabberfrog says:

    wow… i love the honesty. agreed. social media is a tool. love how it gives people a glimpse into who we are outside the church building. i appreciate pete's take on keeping that real and not trying to make it look pretty.

    I love how open and real this was. I enjoyed it and was encouraged by the authenticity.

    I'd volunteer to be doublepopped but I'm just a volunteer at a teeny tiny little church in Mississippi. I get more out of this whole blog-twitter-facebook experience than I could ever give.
